Damask Nesting Tables

Nesting tables have been on my "I Want" list for quite some time, but they are hard for me to find in this area. So, while visiting Florida, I came across a set and snatched them right up! My vision has always been to create an image that flows from one to the next to the next.

However, with this set, I decided to focus on using some of the Wise Owl limited edition colors and came up with this color scheme. You can buy any of the Wise Owl Paints/ Products Here!

I got the pieces all prepped and ready for the paint with a few minor repairs (the legs are quite narrow and the little table needed some extra glueing for support and stability). I used my new paint sprayer on these pieces and it took about 3 coats to get full coverage on the tables. I'm still working with my settings and would most likely only need 2 coats with the right settings.

To give the tables some aged depth, I added some shading by hand. And at this point, the tables were ready for sealer and to be listed for sale.

But WAIT!

As most of you know, I love to add artwork to my pieces! I just couldn't stop here. My son mentioned maybe listing them plain with the option to have artwork of the customer's choosing added. Great idea, but I find some people just can't see that vision.

So, I decided on one of my favorite things to use in my artwork - DAMASK! And I got to use THREE different designs!

I went to work adding the damask designs (I do not use stencils), topped them off with a quality and durable sealer and TA-DAH.... they were ready to be listed for sale!

These lovelies sold quickly!

So if anyone sees any nesting tables for sale, keep me in mind... I still want to create that one image that flows onto each table.
